Special excerpt from the Swiss criminal records - process for ordering

1st step:

The employer (or the organisation or licensing authority) prepares a confirmation for the employee who is to carry out an activity involving contact with minors or other persons requiring special protection, or direct contact with patients in a healthcare setting.

2nd step:

The employer (organisation or licensing authority) issues the signed confirmation to the employee.

3rd step:

The employee orders the special excerpt from the Swiss criminal records from the criminal records register. The confirmation from the employer (or the organisation or licensing authority) is required for this. The employee can order the special excerpt from the Swiss criminal records via the internet or obtain it over the counter at an office of Swiss Post that offers the full range of postal services.
