Docker Deployments

Starting with MessageHandler 3.4.2 we offer an offical docker image to deploy. Further information can be found in the msghandler-docker repository on Github.

(warning) Note: you will be redirected to the cloud service provider DRACOON to download the application artefacts.

  • MessageHandler Version 3.4.2 (Release on 01.06.2023)
    • Warning (warning) (warning) - A configuration problem with the signature library used in MH prevents PDF files from being signed. It is therefore not possible to use version 3.4.2 for debt collection offices! We will provide a corrected version as soon as possible.
    • This version introduces an up to date Java runtime for the Windows platform.
      Note for upgrading:       Be aware, that the MSI Installer always performs a completely new installation. It is not conceive to perform an upgrade! So back-up your MH configuration before installing the new version.
    • Manual version 1.21: PDF

    • Binary for Windows 32bit (manual installation): ZIP

    • Installer for Windows 32bit (with packaged Java Runtime): MSI.
      Please note: this installer is only suited to install a single instance of MessageHandler on a computer. Install MessageHandler manually (using the ZIP package), if you plan to install more then one instance on a single computer.

    • This version introduces an up to date Java runtime for the Windows platform.

  • MessageHandler Version 3.4.0 (Release on 12.02.2020)
    • This version hopefully fixed database corruption issues on Windows installations.
      Note for upgrading:
      • Be aware, that the MSI Installer always performs a completely new installation. It is not conceive to perform an upgrade! So back-up your MH configuration before installing the new version.
      • You can safely upgrade your installation, if its status database is not corrupted. In this case you can shut down MH, install the new version 3.4.0 and start it. If the status database of your installation is corrupted, you must remove the corrupted database before starting the new version!

How to upgrade from release 2.2.x to release 3.x

Beginning with release 3.0.0 the configuration of MH was been completely revamped. In order to upgrade from release 2.2.x to release 3.x you will have to provide a new configuration file. We recommend to completely uninstall the old version (stop the service, remove the service, move the old software installation and the configuration file to an archive location). Subsequently install the new version,  read carefully the provided documentation and write a new configuration file.

To make your life easier, we provide an configuration assistant application, which will guide you through the creation of the configuration file. Download the assistent, unpacked the ZIP file and double-click the file config-assistant.bat. If the assistant will not start, you will have to edit the file and set the JAVA_HOME variable.

Update Anleitung (Release 2.0.3 -> Release 2.2.0 )

Analog zu Update Release 2.0.3 -> Release 2.1.1.

Beachte: im Release 2.2.0 prüft der MessageHandler, ob die Konfigurationsdatei config.xml dem Schema config.xsd entspricht! Sie sollten also die Schemakonformität vorgängig prüfen.
